How does the Jewel work?
The easy-to-use compact size Jewel hair removal product uses patented Home Pulsed Light (HPL) technology to target pigment in the hair shaft and disable hair growth without damaging the surrounding skin.
Jewel is safe and effective for long term hair removal because it uses optical light energy. The light energy is absorbed by the pigment in the hair shaft and transformed into heat. This heat disables hair growth while leaving the surrounding skin unaffected.
Thanks to the Jewel’s adjustable energy source levels, it’s safe for a wide variety of skin types and hair colors. And because of its unique “touch and flash” design, you can press the trigger once for continuous gliding treatment
Dark or tanned skin – The optical light will not detect the difference between skin and hair pigment, therefore it will not flash and treatment will not be effective.
Blonde, grey or white hair – Individuals with these colors lack pigment in their hair and are not candidates for treatment.

How to use your Silk’n Jewel hair removal device
Follow these steps and you’ll be only a few weeks away from silky, hairless skin from head to toe.
STEP 1: Use on clean, shaved, dry skin.
STEP 2: Hold the Jewel firmly on skin and glide along the area you wish to treat. The Jewel will emit the continuous pulse of energy – without a need to repeatedly press the trigger.
What to expect:
Typically, you’ll need six to eight hair removal treatments for best results.* After a series of treatments, users report less hair growth in the treatment area, and eventually the hair will cease to grow.*
The efficiency of hair removal varies from person to person according to body area, hair color, and how the Silk’n Jewel is used. A typical full hair growth cycle may take 18 to 24 months. During this time, maintenance treatments may be required.

Treatments one to four: Plan treatments two weeks apart.
Treatments five to seven: Plan treatments four weeks apart.
